How to Open an FxPro Account from Japan

Opening an account is mostly a document and choice-of-account exercise, not a race. Start in FxPro Direct, enter details exactly as shown on your records, and stop to identify the contracting entity before the first deposit.

75%+ of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs.

Use the portal as the source of the flow

The usual sequence is email registration, residence and personal details, account and platform choices, then identity review. Choose Japan honestly and use the same romanised name and address format that appears on your evidence. A mismatch in a building name, expiry date or name order is a more common delay than a technical problem.

Prepare the two document categories

Expect identity evidence and proof of address. A passport, driving licence or My Number card may appear as identity options; a recent residence certificate, bank statement or utility document can be requested for address. The accepted list changes by entity, so the list inside the official portal wins. One to three business days is an indication, not a promise.

Choose platform and pricing deliberately

MT4/MT5 suit an existing EA setup; cTrader is the obvious route if you want its DOM and order tools; Edge suits a browser-first routine. For accounts, Standard is simpler for a first small test. Raw+ is around USD 1,000 and adds roughly USD 7 round-turn commission per standard lot. Elite is aimed at a much higher, around USD 30,000, funding level.

Do not treat approval as the final check

Once KYC is approved, inspect the Wallet payment menu and entity details again before funding. FxPro has no standard account-opening or deposit bonus to chase. It is not a Japanese FSA broker, so retain the agreement and support replies rather than assuming the domestic-broker process applies.

Treat the application as a records exercise

Before opening Direct, decide which spelling and address format you will use. Copy them from the identity document and address proof rather than typing from memory. A missing apartment number, reversed name order or expired document can turn a simple review into several rounds of requests.

Keep the first choices modest. Standard is generally easier to inspect because the dealing cost is spread-led; Raw+ is commonly around USD 1,000 and adds about USD 7 round turn per standard lot. Elite's indication is around USD 30,000. Platform credentials can also be separate, so do not assume an MT login works on cTrader.

After approval, enter the signed-in payment menu and verify the contracting entity once more. The absence of a bonus is not an error: FxPro is not generally a bonus-led offer. More importantly, it is not a Japan FSA account.

Save the welcome email, agreement and KYC decision. If a document is rejected, correct the stated mismatch before uploading another image rather than submitting several versions at once.

Use the same contact details throughout the process and do not share portal credentials. A clear record is useful if an account requires a later update.
